Hi all, here’s page 26 for ya!
I’ll also upload page 27 and 28 in a few days hopefully. The inking on those pages is finished, I just need to get them proofread and add some screentones and stuff – the usual :)
I’ve tried to put more time & energy into making the comic this past week and I think it’s paying off. I’m already sketching up page 30. We’ll see for how long I’ll be able to keep this up :/ I’ll do my best!

Hi everyone!

I can’t remember how long it was since I last updated the comic, but I think it was like, 3-4 weeks ago! Sorry about that… (^_^;) Hopefully I’ll get more time to spend on the comic now when Christmas is over.
The next comic page will actually act as the half-way mark through the comic! I estimate the whole story to be around 48 pages, so there’s still a lot to be said and done – but I’ll get there!

This page will present two (almost ) new characters to you! Chloe and Claude.
They actually made a small appearance on page 6 already, but at the time I drew that page they had a slightly different design. I’m still thinking about changing that page later, to make them look like they do now, but I haven’t decided yet.
Many people have told me that they look like Team Rocket from Pokemon (-_-;)
I’ve watched/played a lot of Pokemon too and I know what Team Rocket look like, so I know what people are saying.
With the new design I tried to make them look less like Team Rocket and more like the other Blup Valley citizens. The biggest change probably lies in their height, because if you look at them at page 6 you can clearly see that they are like twice the size of everyone else! Why did I make them like this? Probably because I wanted them to:
1) Be different from Pierre in any way possible, and
2) look really, really evil! >:)

But then I was thinking “So why REALLY are they taller than the other characters?” Are they from a different country? Are they of a different species?
I couldn’t think of any logical/interesting reason for this, so I opted to make them the same height as the other characters. Did I make the right choice?…

I don’t know when the next comic page will be ready, but I’ve sketched out about 85% of it, so it’s in-the-works!

Yep, here it is. Page 20, just like I promised :)

You see that cool picture of that house? The one with the sun rays? Yeah … I made that in 3D. A neat little program named SketchUp helped me out there. It’s free you know …
So, can you call it “cheating”, when you use programs to help you do stuff you can really do by hand? … Hell No.

I chose to use 3D to:
1. Save time.
2. Get the perspective right and
3. Be able to choose a camera-angle that would fit the purpose, without having to redraw again and again until I finally get it right.

You think THAT’S bad? How about if I told you I used 3D for the lower left panel as well? Uh Huh!? Yeah!

The bottom line is, if it will help you make a better product, or you just want to save time or whatever, use whatever means necessary and do it! … Just don’t be stupid and tell everyone about it afterwards (like I just did) … Hah! Naaah, I’m just kidding :p

Anywho, it’s getting late and I’M going to bed now, sooo I’ll see you! お休み！(That’s Japanese and it says ‘Oyasumi’).

Believe it or not, but the panel I had the hardest time drawing in this page, was the one in the top left corner.
For some reason, I find it hard to draw these characters from an angle and make it look good :s Luckily I was able to get it to look alright and I’m pleased with the result. This is by no means an extreme angle, just a little lower than usual … maybe I’m the only one to notice it? Ah well.

I’m actually thinking about making low-poly models of the characters in 3D, to help me with stuff like this in the future. And also because I would like to see how they would turn out :p

Ah! speaking of 3D, I completely forgot that I actually made some stuff in 3D for the following page 20, to help me with the perspective and stuff. I’ll explain more when it gets posted.

Hi everyone, long time no see – or as they say in Japan “久しぶり”.

It’s been a while since the last update, due to a pretty busy schedule, but now I’m at it again :)

As you’ve probably noticed already, I’ve removed the Calendar and Shoutbox from the sidebar and replaced them with my new custom-made Twitter widget (only took me a good two days to get it look right (+_+)).
With this you can keep track on my work on the comic – and other stuff of course.
If you also have Twitter you could choose to “Follow me”. If you do that you’ll automatically receive my twitter updates on your own page, and I think you also can comment on the updates and stuff. I’ve only just started using it so I don’t know of all it’s functions yet (^_^;)

Hi everyone!

This page is a result of what I was talking about in my last post (about adding new ideas to an old script).
In other words, this page was not in the original story and I decided to add it about two weeks ago I think.
This is going to sound wierd, but my first idea was that Claude would open the cabinet and be shocked to find a miming mouse inside… can you imagine? haha.
I scrapped that idea for now, but who knows, I might use that later ;p

I can’t tell you who or what Claude is looking for yet, but you’ll see eventually…

I actually got some inspiration from this Roger Rabbit clip… if this Pierre manga ever turns into an anime (I wish!) I might add more stuff, like you can see in the clip! (^v^ )

Also, I had some problems with the perspective in one panel. Big problems! I knew it wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t until my big sister (who’s also an artist, www.ceciliaelfving.se) told me how bad it was, that I decided to redraw the panel.

Also, I’m participating in an art exhibition in my home town the 29-30th of this month, so I might have to put the comic on hold for a week or two in order to get other artwork ready. I haven’t decided yet though…

Hi everyone, sorry for the late post (^_^; )

I won’t waste time typing a long blog post this time. I need all the time I can get to prepare page 12, lol.
Long story short; It’s been a year or so since I wrote the original script for this story and now I’m starting to get all these new and cool ideas and whenever I want to use any of those, I have to change stuff in other places… it’s kind of complicated (>_<; ) Crafting a good story is hard you know!

I’ve now finally joined a couple of affiliate/advertising services, or what you call them, and my biggest problem now is – where do I put those ads!?
I think ads should be placed where they can be somewhat noticed, but don’t conflict with the overall look of the website. And of course they should be as less annoying as possible.
Putting some ads on the site will, hopefully, generate some revenue, which could be used for buying art supplies and uhm, food? lol… My goal/dream is to be able to work on the comic full-time. I know it’s probably a veery long journey until that will be possible. But if the comic keeps growing the way it’s been lately, I don’t think it’s entirely impossible. Except for the ads you can, of course, help out by donating!
Even the tiniest amounts are welcome! (^w^ )

In other news.. I had my first interview!! \(^O^)/
No joke, I was actually interviewed by the local paper and got to tell everyone about my comic! It was great! But I hate the picture they took of me, I look wierd… gaah! (>_<;) lol

Lastly, I got my very first fan-mail the other day (a big ‘Thank you!’ to the guy who sent it, you know who you are!). Like I said last week, making/managing/promoting a comic is hard work, but when you get feedback from people who like your work, it makes it all worth it! Keep ‘em coming! ( ‘_~)
